Bulletin Boards

At work our department is responsible for doing the bulletin boards at the entrance of the building.  My boss decided to elect me to come up with the ideas and create.  Below is what we did for the summer months.  I have one more birthday board to do.  Hope you enjoy.

This is our Breast Cancer Awareness Board

This is the Breast Cancer Ribbon I made with Deco Mesh, accenting with Ribbon Roses.

Our Cancer Awareness Board with all the different types of Cancer and the color ribbons.

Our Support the Troops Board

This flag is made out of ribbon.  We started out by cutting a piece of cardboard and then making ribbon roses for the red and white rows and using blue tulle for the blue area.

Deco/Geo Mesh Wreath

We have been getting these rolls of mesh in at work and everyone is asking what it is used for, so I decided to do some research and here is the results:

It is very simple to make, here are my supplies:

1 roll of geo/deco mesh
U pins (floral)
Ribbon
Embelishments (flowers, butterflies)

Fasten geo mesh to wreath with U pin and roll out about 6-12 inches and gather and pin.
Should look like this:

You can make the gather/loops small or big depending upon how fluffy you want the wreath.

This is what it looks like when done and then you would add embelishments for the finished product.

I have made them with straw wreaths and it makes a big and really fluffy wreath.  I found using the flat styrofoam or wooden wreath is best.  Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy.

My Craft Room (AKA "The Scrapping Pad"

Here are a few pics of my craft room.  This used to be a kitchen and I converted it to my scrap area by placing a little bit of this and that to make storage and have space to create.  I wished I had one that looked like most of them on here, but I like mine b/c it's comfy and some of the stuff my dad built.

This iswhere I store most of my ribbon.  I admit, I have a ribbon problem.  LOL  Working at a ribbon outlet doesn't help.

This is just what I could fit in here, I have a basket under my table full of loose ribbon that needs spooled.

Well I need to get back at working on a Valentine's Day Project.  Have a wonderful day!!
